Leadership Searches

A search for a new school leader is challenging and has to be carefully managed. Representing major transitions both in and out of the organisation, it is one of the most important tasks school boards engage in, however it should also be seen as a valuable opportunity for the board to galvanise the School community and immerse itself in a positive engagement of future possibilities.

The Education Consortium does not solely engage in head searches; it instead chooses to support individuals and schools in a number of different ways based around a school’s collective leadership needs. Due to the intensive nature of leadership searches it will generally only commit to one or two per year.

Our Approach to Leadership Searches

Our approach to support a school leadership search is built around a strong and proven structure, which is adapted organically to suit the unique context of the school, allowing for exploration of many possibilities to achieve the desired outcome - to ensure the engagement of the best possible candidate.

The very nature of the diversity of leadership support that the Education Consortium provides creates a value add that is of immeasurable benefit in a leadership search. Andy has a strong presence within the International School community, built on respect and trust developed over a 30 year career across the globe. Leveraging an extensive network of connections, and those of his associates, Andy has access to a broad range of potential contacts and candidates to engage with in leadership searches.

The consultants will work in partnership with the Governing body, school administration and designated search committees to provide expert guidance throughout this critical process.
