At the core of our work as a consultancy is coaching. Supporting individuals to grow and develop and organisations to build capacity. We are often called upon to support and coach individuals and this can be a real strong mechanism for individuals to learn about themselves, have guidance and critical advice in the roles as well as having a critical thought partner in managing challenging situations and a range of often challenging individuals.

Governance in schools is such a critical component to great schools. It is very systems orientated and relies on policy, procedures and protocols for reliability, efficiency and sustainability to ensure it can deliver on the best possible outcomes for its students. The Education Consortium works with Governing Boards in a number of different ways designed to support best practice.

Leadership is such a complex paradigm. It is multi-layered and interdependent upon the individuals as the systems and structures in place. The Education Consortium works from the support and capacity building platform offering a range of services to support the work we do in coaching within schools.

The main focus for the strategic planning exercise would be for the school to clarify its purpose, identity and core values. In essence the value of a strategic process would be to engage the community in a process which aims to determine common beliefs: Who are we? Who do we serve? What is our future direction?

A search for a new school leadership is challenging and has to be carefully managed. Representing major transitions both in and out of the organization, it is one of the most important tasks schools engage in, however it should also be seen as a valuable opportunity to galvanise the School community and immerse itself in a positive engagement of future possibilities.
